Director - Patrick Quain AD App Sci - Arch Tech

Over the two decades prior to the inception of Redline Building Design, the
Principal Director, Patrick Quain: has gathered a wealth of experience in a
wide range of Design and Construct roles, both as:

• Design Draftsman &
• ArchiCAD Technician

He is armed with a background in a range of projects from renovations and
extensions, new bespoke homes, high-end residential, multi-residential and
community developments, resorts, and government projects.

He is proficient in ArchiCAD software and enjoys the 3D modelling
capabilities.

Patrick's main focus has typically favoured residential projects.

"There is something very tangible about a home
- and there is no greater joy than seeing someone's
dreams come to reality; whether it be a new home or
breathing new life into an existing home. It is highly
satisfying to see something like that through to completion."

From 1997 to 2002, Patrick worked in a Design and Construct company that focussed on Renovations and Extensions.

Patrick worked closely with the Builder and Structural Engineers to collaborate on the designs to ensure that what was
proposed would not only stand firm, but also be economical to achieve.

From 2002 to 2012, Patrick's design skills were further developed within an award winning Architectural practice, working closely with an experienced Building Designer and also renowned Architect - Ralph Bailey. Patrick and Ralph shared a real passion for the attention to detail.

Starting with single houses and some renovation / relocation
projects... with budgets ranging anywhere from $250K to a couple of million.

Later, Patrick was involved in the expansion and refurbishment of a Youth Detention facility in Far North Queensland.

Over the course of his employment there, he was involved in a
wide range of projects including Multi-Residential Eco-
developments and community estates, early master-planning
through to contract documentation.

Guymer Bailey Architects operated solely using ArchiCAD, during
his time there. Patrick has also had a few years, using Aconex quite extensively for online document control and project
communications on larger projects.

These days, Patrick offers his expertise and skills directly to builders and the public as a BSA Licenced Building Designer
via his wholly owned company, Redline Building Design.
